Hutia te rito o te harakeke
Kei hea te komako e ko?
Ki mai ki ahau
He aha te mea nui o te Ao?
Maku e ki atu
He tangata he tangata he tangata.

If the centre of the flax is pulled out,
From where will the bellbird sing?
You ask me, what is the most important thing in the world?
It is people, it is people, it is people.

The annual ANZPA conference is a time for ANZPA members and colleagues to meet together, to renew and expand our association, to share with one another our insights, struggles and triumphs, and to promote the  professional development of members through workshops, presentations and papers.

This website will be updated regularly as new information becomes available.  Updates will be noted on the Conference News page, so you can easily see when something has been added or updated.

The conference will begin at 5pm on Thursday 22nd (Registrations from 1pm), and will end at 1:30pm on Monday 26th January. Pre- and post-conference workshops will run before and after the conference.  The venue is Salmond Hall, Dunedin

Jose Fonseca

José Fonseca

Dr José Fonseca, from São Paulo, Brazil will be joining us as our overseas guest. José will give two presentations during the conference and will also run a post-conference workshop.

We are excited by this opportunity to meet and work with José. Psychodrama is strong in Brazil and has developed its own unique flavour there, with a rich literature in Portuguese. This January we will have a little taste of Brazilian psychodrama, and we hope in turn to offer José a taste of New Zealand and Australian psychodrama and hospitality. We expect this to enrich our association and expand our vision of psychodrama practice in the world.

We invite you to come and meet with us in Dunedin next January.

Sandra Turner and Judy Broom
ANZPA 2009 Conference Convenors.
